We normally keep live events we’re excited about Midlands-centric for relevency, but this is too good not to mention. Seattle’s Band of Horses are playing an ATP-organised show at Koko on 12 April. Although there’s no news of a follow-up their sophmore 2007 album Cease To Begin, it will hopefully provide an opportunity to hear new material alongside classic anthems like ‘The Funeral’ and ‘The Great Salt Lake’, songs that stand above much of the rustic-rock revival of the last decade.
The band’s ‘Marry Song’ was the first played at mine and Katie’s wedding back in August, so we’ll be making a special effort to head down to foggy London town for this.
Update: Tickets have apparently sold out, so here’s hoping for more dates.
