Unrest 1985–1995

I’m feeling in a particularly ’90s indie pop mood today, so I thought I would do a round up of videos from the early nineties band Unrest. They were a band from Washington D.C fronted by Mark Robinson who started The TeenBeat label. When they started out they were very much a post punk outfit, but the pop sensibilities took over the sound and by the time they disbanded in 1995 their sound was unrecognisable. In the UK some of their stuff was distributed 4AD, the bleeding edge label whose current artists include Bon Iver, TV on the Radio, Beirut, Deerhunter and It Hugs Back (who played Colour last year).
