First of all, many thanks to everyone who attended our event at Light House, Wolverhampton on August 2nd, and to Bavarian Country Singers & Comrades and Mountain Schmountain for their great sets. I’ve uploaded a set list to the Events Archive to give you an idea of what we play at Colour.
I’m very excited to announce the line up for our next event at Light House on Saturday 6th September, once again in the stunning setting of the Light House courtyard. We have a headline set from The Declining Winter, which features Richard Adams, co-founder of Domino Records’ Hood. Support will be provided by Gareth S. Brown, also of Hood, and July Skies, one of the Midlands’ finest exponents of atmospheric ambience. The evening will also feature sets by Colour DJs, live visuals and homemade cakes!
Over the next week we’ll be posting more information about the artists, along with videos and MP3 streams, but for now here’s a short trailer, featuring “They Played in the Harvest Fields” by July Skies (from the album The English Cold).
The images used in the trailer are taken from hand printed photographs Katie unearthed in the Wolverhampton antiques market, a real treasure trove of curios.
